Brazilian Strategy for Digital Transformation

It was published today, in the Federal Gazette, the Presidential Decree No. 9,319/2018, that creates a so-called national system for digital transformation and establishes a National Strategy for Digital Transformation (“E-Digital”).

The E-Digital strategy defines almost 100 actions to increase productive processes online, boost Internet access and bridge the social and digital divide in Brazil. Among the actions overseen by the Federal Government, there are public policies in several strategic topics, including connectivity infrastructure, privacy/data protection, IoT, cyber security and new platforms’ regulation – audiovisual included.
