Brazilian Central Bank: Circular nº 3.843/2017 – Deadline to adhere to centralized clearing and settlement

Likewise Brazilian Central Bank Circular - BACEN No. 3.842, dated July 27, 2017, which extended until September 28, 2018 the deadline for other participants (among which, the marketplaces) of the financial flow arising from payment transactions to adopt the procedures necessary to adhere to centralized bank clearing and settlement services, BACEN issued Circular No. 3.843, dated August 23, 2017 and published today (August 25, 2017) in the Federal Official Gazette to extend until October 30, 2017, the deadline for the owners of payment schemes, payment instruments issuers and payment instruments acquirers, as well as financial institutions acting as domicile-institutions, to adopt the necessary procedures to adhere to centralized clearing and settlement services.
